Highlights of CGRA Meeting on 5 January 2012

1. Landscaping

Pruning of trees along canal will be done by MBSA once the budget allocation/approval is received in January 2012.

2. Parking On Grass

Residents are strongly advised not to park their vehicles on the grass. Security personnel have been informed to place notices on car windscreens, followed by first warning and thereafter further action by MBSA (summons/clamping).

3. Borang Bantahan on the removal of the proposed flyover

CGRA together with the PPKK will be meeting with MBSA at 11.45 am on 9 January 2012 at MBSA headquarters for a hearing on the above matter. Members who are interested to attend are to gather at the guardhouse by 11.00 am. Paul Leong, the CGRA Chairman will be leading CGRA representation to the meeting.

4. Pest Control

Lately, some of the residents have noticed there is an increase in the population of red ants. CGRA has informed HGDPS to investigate and take the necessary pest control measures to control and eliminate them.

Indeed it is true. I have infact informed your committee member as early as October but until now, nothing is done. The red ants have now many homes at many trees, especially those at the canal walkway around B & C road. Anyone could have easily spotted the whole walkway surrounding the canal is full of ants...but not your committee members. Childrens are easily susceptible to bites when they are walking along the walkway. Perhaps you lots are just busy with putting laterns and forgot about issues that matter most to residents! These ants don't die just one elimination. They need follow up treatments, so kindly get HGDPS to take ants control measure monthly for the next 6 months or so. I have complained years ago and they had came to terminate. It reduced for a while but the population blossomed back without follow up action.
