Final Count - 24 cars with around 100 participants in total
Our Treasure Hunters turned up as early as 6.45 am - breakfast comprising packed nasi lemak and mineral water were distributed to all. Registration started at 7 am with a short 5 minute briefing before the flag off at 7.30 am sharp. We had a wet start as it drizzled when we were getting into our cars for the flag off. Hunt was designed to cover 3 stages - first stop to the shops around the first roundabout, second stage back to Canal Gardens for a walk hunt and lastly to the shops at the second roundabout. The questions also involved a picture hunt, road safety questions and for the Treasure questions, we had to purchase a couple of edible items which were given to childrens homes.
Being a participant myself, I would say that we had a great time figuring out some tricky questions and it was such fun looking for the 'black box' at our Gardens. We ended with a simple Chinese lunch at a nearby restaurant and everyone went home with a prize, however big or small.
The first five top prizes went to the teams (drum roll) :
1) Cherry
2) Jack Sparrow
3) 5588
4) Angry Birds
5) Infinity
